Terms of service

Last updated 7 October 2026

By using The Hub (the website, the app at the-hub.coffee, the desktop and phone apps, and the API) you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

Your account

Be decent

Don't use The Hub to:

Spaces

The people who run a space set its rules and moderate it, with the tools The Hub gives them. They are responsible for their space. Community spaces are listed publicly, so their content has to be fine for everyone who can find them.

Your content

What you post stays yours. You give The Hub only the permission it needs to store it and show it to the people you share it with. Don't post things you don't have the right to share.

Bots, apps, plugins and themes

If you build on The Hub, follow the Developer Portal's guidelines, ask only for the permissions you need, and treat people's data the way this policy does. Plugins and themes you install from outside the shop run at your own risk.

When things go wrong

We may remove content or limit, suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll usually tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, tell us through Settings → Feedback.

The Hub is provided as it is. We work hard to keep it running and your data safe, but we can't promise it will never be down, lose something, or be free of bugs. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll say so in the app's patch notes before it takes effect. Using The Hub after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, you can delete your account at any time.
